About Eileen O’Hara
I immigrated to Western Australia 28 years ago, my daughter was born in Margaret River and we have lived here since.
I was born and grew up in Lancashire in the UK and spent a lot of my weekends in the Lake District as it was practically on the doorstep. As well as enjoying the many charming old pubs there, I grew to love the walks in the fells and still do when I make my frequent visits back to see family and old friends.
When I travel overseas I spend time walking in mountainous or wilderness areas. I have walked in the Arctic Circle, India, Nepal, Tibet, Greece, Spain and of course the lovely English Lakes.
My favorite escape here in Margaret River is walking on the coastal and sometimes forested, Cape to Cape long distance path which is conveniently close to where I live. I am looking forward to introducing you to these lovely walks, new friends, and finish off with a well-earned beer at a local micro-brewery.
Brendan Is my Australian partner. Surfing is what he likes to do and he’s never too far away if we need him to rescue us from any incidents that are unlikely to happen.
