Forest walk for hot summer months.
This is a lovely walk that can be done any time of year and particularly appreciated on those hot summer mornings and evenings as it is under the shelter of the shaded Forest.
The river is a spiritual place for the Wadandi traditional owners of this area. along the river in the state forest until we reach the road and find the Wadandi trail which is an old railway track, we walk over a lovely old timber bridge over the River, if we re still around here at dusk we may see possums. Then we take another path which leads us to a bridge over a weir, continuing along the river and to the Rotary Park at the bottom of town, and here we have a coffee at the Micro-Brewery or Shady cafe here.
In the summer months January and February and by request in other seasons.
Meet at the Rotary Park in the forest at the Northern end of Margaret River town site on the table/bench near Old Kate train engine. If you are coming into the town from the north, turn into the carpark on the left before the bridge over the Margaret River.
